Modalities
Tools of the Trade
Modalities are the tools that Dr. Morris teaches clients to utilize in order to remove obstacles to cure, support the foundations of one’s health, and encourage the body to transition into a state of vitality. Dr. Morris has specifically chosen the most powerful modalities used around the globe and strategically applies what is necessary to target the root-cause of dis-ease in each individual.
Biotherapeutic Drainage
Encouraging the body, mind, and emotions to regain homeostasis through gentle means. The body is reminded to eliminate waste products and absorb what is nourishing. Drainage remedies are liquid homeopathic preparations re-assessed on a monthly basis and changed according to the body’s needs.
Clinical Nutrition
While healing processes are occurring, naturopathic doctors also use natural substances such as vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and probiotics to support physiology. Dr. Morris uses only the highest quality supplements to support insufficiencies in the body, assisting her clients in achieving vitality.
Hydrotherapy
This modality is the application of hot and cold to move blood and lymphatics throughout the body, again encouraging the body to eliminate waste products and absorb nutrients. As a powerful conductor of heat, water is typically used in the form of hot and cold towels in an alternating pattern.
Herbal Support
Dating back to the beginning of time, plants have been used as a very powerful modality in healing. Interestingly, plants are the origin of many pharmaceutical drugs. Naturopathic Doctors use plants for both their medicinal and nutritional value, combining ancient wisdom with modern science.
Homeopathy
Based on the principle of “like cures like”, this gentle yet effective system is more than 200 years old and is still used around the globe, from India to England. Homeopathic remedies are very small doses of natural substances that stimulate the body’s self-healing response.
Lifestyle
“You are what you eat”, and Naturopathic Doctors understand that your lifestyle and dietary choices are the basis of your health. Adopting a healthy diet, specific to your individual health needs, is the first step in reclaiming your vitality. Sleep, movement, and stress reduction are also important.
